Poetry and Burnout?

In May 2016, together with the Collaborating Centre for Values Based Practice, we held a seminar to think about morale in the NHS and the ways in which the reading of literature might be helpful. During the course of the day we looked at a variety of
material, and focussed, in particular, on a poem by Keith Douglas which you can read here. Some of our delegates were interviewed by three current
medical students at the University of Oxford, and we recorded their reflections below. We'd be delighted if you added your thoughts to the discussion at the foot of the page. If you'd like to contact us for more information about our work, and our
workshops, please email sophie.ratcliffe@ell.ox.ac.uk
